Heat Treatment Furnace
Bogie Type Forging Furnace
Various grades of steel in the form of forgings, castings, fabricated components, etc., can be annealed, normalized, hardened, stressed, solution-annealed, tempered, etc. using a Bogie Hearth Furnace, also called a car bottom furnace. The image displays a double-ended bogie hearth furnace with a 15-ton capacity. Two bogies are provided to save time and energy; one is kept within the furnace while the other is unloaded and reloaded for the subsequent cycle. This is a dual fuel system, meaning it uses both LPG and HSD and is controlled by a PLC and SCADA. The door and bogie are moved by electro-mechanical means.
